The online user guide for GarageBand > iPad states that I can connect an electric guitar (or bass) for use with GarageBand for iOS, however, there are no instructions for doing so in the iPad portion of the online guide – just in the GarageBand for Mac section. (I'm thinking this might be an error in the guide)

My question: is it indeed possible to connect an electric guitar to an iPad? (I'm skeptical, because there's no audio-in port)

I found an out-of-date response to this question with a link for an answer, but the link is now 'dead.'

In Logic Pro and GarageBand for Mac, you can share a special GarageBand for iPad-compatible version of your project to iCloud. You can add, edit, and arrange new tracks in GarageBand for iPad. When you reopen the project in Logic Pro or GarageBand for Mac, the new tracks are added to the original project.

Second question: is there some secondary software that can be used to connect a guitar or bass? (just checking…)

• IPad: Select the ROUTING menu. Android: Press the icon with up and down arrows to select either Input or Output. PC/Mac: Click the In/Out button to view the I/O menu. For the Inputs menu, select which signals (top) are assigned to each mixer channel (left). (example) Assign Input 1 to Mixer Channel 1 by selecting their intersecting box.
• Help with Behringer XR18 wifi client mode. With x-air or any software! Nothing on client mode for the Behringer XR18 will communicate to any device. All other modes, including access point and ethernet are fully functional. No response from any device on client mode. We are looking to get more than 4 devices to access the client mode in xair.
