The American civil war was fought from 1861 to 1865 and was one of the most intense battles fought on American grounds. It was a massive war between the Northern and the Southern parts.

When Abraham Lincoln, who was anti-slaves, was elected, the southern part began to rebel. They wanted to be able to keep slaves and be their own country. The southerners needed their slaves because of their large-scale farms, even their whole economy depended on them.
